Inbound Marketing Conference Boston – Update

I just returned from 3 days in Boston attending the Inbound Marketing Summit.  A great conference with a lot of great minds in the field of internet marketing and lead generation.

One of the keynote speakers, Youngme Moon, a Harvard Business Professor who has spent many years researching how companies differentiate themselves in a competitive marketplace was the highlight for me.  Check out the video intro to her book here and if you’d like to buy it here’s an Amazon Affiliate Link-> Different: Escaping the Competitive Herd

Another speaker that resonated with me in terms of how what he talked about could be applicable to real estate was Guy Kawasaki.  His new book, Enchantment: The Art of Changing Hearts, Minds, and Actions) is all about how to “enchant” your customers and prospects.  A full video of his speech (given at Stamford, not at the conference) can be found here.  It’s worth an hour of every real estate agents time, I guarantee it.  I have yet to meet an agent or manager (or brand for that matter) that has successully pulled all of Guy’s suggestions for being enchanting together in a single package.  Something to strive for, to be sure.
